At the Shanghai New International Expo Centre - SNIEC the international trade fair of the processing and packaging industry in Asia Swop takes place. According to the 8 sectors food, beverages, confectionery, bakery, pharmaceutics, cosmetics, non-food and industrial goods the event illustrates important new packaging trends and future prospects. Within the framework of the Save Food Campaign the exhibition treats relevant topics such as innovative packaging, transport safety and waste prevention. Swop also includes two special exhibition areas: The area “components” deals with components of packaging machines, technologies and software used in industrial packaging and "Innovationparc" is a discussion and communication platform in order to exchange creative ideas and experiences. The SNIEC is the second largest exhibition centre in China and not far away from Pudong airport. From there, it can be reached by various public means of transport, among others by maglev train.
