The fair Empack in Zurich, until 2014 known under the name of "Verpackung", is the trade fair for innovative packaging technologies, materials and services. It takes place once a year and is open to trade visitors only. The key target groups are hereby packaging managers, engineers and technical staff. The Empack stands for efficient packaging technology, advanced packaging machinery, innovative packaging materials and additives, intelligent transport and protective packaging and creative solutions in the field of logistics. Numerous national and international exhibitors will present their products, technologies and services in the areas of packaging, coding, marking, printing and inspection to the subjects of recycling and the environment. An extensive exhibition program in the form of presentations, lectures, theme parks and workshops accompany this exhibition and thereby provide an added value to the visitors. In short presentations updates from the industry will be mediated to the visitors. In numerous workshops practical and interactive demonstrations on selected topics of the packaging industry will be held. Together with the Packaging Innovations and the Label&Print the Empack covers the entire spectrum of the packaging and labeling industry under the name "The World of Packaging".
